Labour Councillors for Becontree have:
1.We secured additional lighting to tackle fly tipping and ani-social behavior(ASB) in service roads behind Green Lane shopping parade. We ensured the council installed CCTV cameras and improved lighting .
2. In partnership with St. Thomas Church, Haydon Road we supported a team of volunteers to carry out litter picking to keep Becontree Ward clean.
3. Green Lane Day of Action. In partnership with the local community, the Council’s Cleansing Team and the local Police, we carried out a day of action against fly tipping and littering in the area. We collected a massive amount of fly-tipped rubbish. This initiative was much appreciated by the local residents.
