Labour Councillors for Valence Ward have been committed to adding many new trees and plants to the green spaces in our Ward.
Trees have been added or replaced on many of green corner communal plots and we endeavoured to establish a communal orchard in Valence Park. Unfortunately, the weather was against us an many of the trees succumbed to the hot weather.
We also funded pollution busting planting in our schools. Supplying the raised beds and plants and representatives from our parks department went in to speak to school gardening clubs on how to look after their plants and what benefits the plants given would have on the school environment.
